The current dispensation of Governor Hyacinth Alia in Benue is causing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to express concern over the state sliding into anarchy.
The PDP spokesperson, Bemgba Iortyom, criticized the indefinite suspension of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Kwande LGA, Terdoo Kenti, and his Executive Committee.

Iortyom described this act as an aberration that highlights Governor Alia’s disdain for democratic norms and leadership incompetence.
The PDP believes that the suspension, which has been dismissed by the state chapter of the APC, is insignificant and part of Alia’s dictatorial tendencies to undermine the constitutional order in the state.
Additionally, the PDP observes that the suspension order in Kwande mirrors the lawless style of the governor in Makurdi, fueling the impression that Catholic priests may not be suitable for political leadership in a liberal democratic setting.
