Veteran stand-up comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, popularly known as Ali Baba, has emphasized that Nigerian musicians have significantly raised national awareness compared to the country’s ambassadors.
Despite this, he expressed disappointment that the entertainment and creative industry is not included in the government’s economic agenda.
Ali Baba shared his views in a recent interview with Channels Television. He highlighted that the Nigerian Economic Summit Group’s forecast for the next five years did not acknowledge the entertainment and creative industry.
He stressed that the value of this industry in Nigeria surpasses national boundaries. Additionally, Ali Baba pointed out that artists like Burna Boy have played a crucial role in promoting Nigerian national awareness globally, surpassing the impact of traditional ambassadors.
