Mbappe has been at odds with the club’s leadership after informing them that he will not renew his contract, which expires in 2024.
The 11-time Ligue 1 champions have also left Mbappe out of their travelling squad for a four-match pre-season tour in the Far East and placed him on the market, with reports claiming the Frenchman plans to see out his contract before joining Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
However, the Saudi club is hopeful that Mbappe would follow in the footsteps of Reuben Neves, who departed Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Senegalese defensive stalwart Kalidou Koulibaly, who arrived from Chelsea after spending a season there.
Aside from Al-Hilal, other big Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea, are interested in signing the World Cup winner.
Mbappe, on the other hand, has not confirmed anything.
Following initial interest from Real Madrid, the French club gave Mbappe a three-year agreement for £507 million to stay at the club in May 2022.
Mbappe was expected to earn £1.6 million per week, or approximately £80 million per year, but the star’s weekly wage is estimated to be around £893,000.
The star’s bonuses are also said to be in the neighbourhood of £100 million.
He has five Ligue 1 titles and three Coupes de France to his name, including a domestic quadruple in the 2019-20 season, and he led the club to its first-ever UEFA Champions League final in 2020.
He is the club’s all-time leading scorer and assists leader.
