Akwa Ibom CP Waheed Ayilara confirmed dead

Waheed Ayilara, who served as the Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, has passed away.

According to reports, Ayilara passed away at Ikeja’s Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) on Thursday.

According to The Nation, he had prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday and passed away only a few hours later.

According to a relative, “It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our dear friend, brother and family member; Waheed Ayilara, who served as Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State.”
