Akeredolu: Police and DSS raid PDP headquarters in Ondo
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ondo Secretariat has been besieged by police officers and their colleagues from the Directorate of State Security (DSS).
Outside the secretariat, armed security guards were posted.
According to Kennedy Peretei, spokesman for the Ondo PDP, the security officers were sent out in order to prevent a planned peaceful protest by party youngsters.
According to Peretei, the purpose of the demonstration was for the young people to seek information regarding the whereabouts of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who has not been present in the State since April 2023.
