Aiyedatiwa meets with Tinubu, reveals President’s request to unite the state

The governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, revealed that President Bola Tinubu has requested him to assume leadership and unite everyone in order to drive the development of the state.

Aiyedatiwa shared this information during a conversation with journalists after visiting the President in Lagos on Thursday, the day after he was sworn in as governor following the passing of the former governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

He explained that his purpose for meeting with Tinubu was to update the President on recent events in Ondo State and express gratitude for his support during the state’s challenging period.

Aiyedatiwa emphasized that he wanted to thank Tinubu for acting as a father figure to the state and providing valuable advice.

The governor also recounted the President’s words, which included guidance to bring all individuals in the state together for effective governance. Aiyedatiwa acknowledged the mixed emotions surrounding the transition but expressed determination to mobilize and unite everyone to propel the state forward.
