This was verified in a statement released on Friday by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the NAF’s director of information and public relations.
He said that two of the aircraft’s pilots made it out alive and were being studied in a military facility.
“Fortunately, the two pilots on board managed to evacuate from the plane and survived the accident. Furthermore, there were no fatalities or property losses in the vicinity of the hit.
“Both pilots are now being monitored at the NAF Base Hospital in Makurdi. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has established a Board of Inquiry to ascertain the immediate and indirect reasons of the incident, he added.
