Aides to Atiku forecast Tinubu’s picks and name Buratai, El-Rufai, Wike, Marwa, and other candidates

The make-up of President-elect Bola Tinubu’s cabinet has been predicted by Daniel Bwala, a supporter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The lawmaker, who was previously a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) last year.

Bwala highlighted the portfolios that some of the prominent members of the ruling party would hold in the new administration in a tweet that drew criticism.

The majority of the names are found in a DAILY POST report from earlier in the month that was based on a conversation with party sources.

Femi Gbajabiamila would be named Tinubu’s chief of staff, according to Bwala, Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State and a former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF).

Nuhu Ribadu, a senior police officer and the first chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), serves as national security adviser (NSA).

Babatunde Fashola, former governor of Lagos State and minister of works and housing, is the attorney general of the federation (AGF).

James Faleke, a representative from Ikeja who serves as the secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, is the minister with special responsibilities.

Bayo Ononuga, a former managing director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and former director of media and publicity for the APC PCC, is the minister of information.

Dele Alake, a former APC PCC spokesman and commissioner of information and strategy for the state of Lagos, is the country’s ambassador to the USA.

Kayode Fayemi, a former Ekiti State governor and minister of mines and steel development, is the current minister of foreign affairs.

Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, whose second term ends in January 2024, is the minister of the FCT.

Tukur Buratai, a retired lieutenant general and former COAS, is the minister of defense.

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State and a former minister of state for education, is the minister of the interior.

Babatunde Ogala, a former legal adviser for the APC and head of the Tinubu Campaign Organization’s legal directorate, is the state house counsel.

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former APC PCC director of new media and former minister of culture, tourism, and aviation, is the current minister of aviation.

Festus Keyamo, a former APC PCC spokesman and state minister of labor and productivity, serves as the organization’s special adviser on media and publicity.

Babajimi Benson, a member of the House of Representatives (Ikorodu), is the special assistant on domestic affairs.
