Alhaji Ahmed Bakare, a public pundit, has cautioned governments against entering into any sort of peace talks or reconciliation with criminals.

Speaking with reporters in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, Bakare stated that any funds handed to the criminals in the name of reconciliation will be utilised to buy high-tech weapons.

He bemoaned how “these criminals have been ruthlessly destroying the lives of innocent people for selfish interest and the governments and security chiefs are watching without doing anything.”

He believes that the federal, state, and security agencies have what it takes to put an end to the ruthless killings and kidnappings that are destroying the entire State.
