On Wednesday, December 13, Rauf Age-Suleiman, the APC candidate for the Lagos Assembly’s Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 2 seat, took the oath of office.
Age-Suleiman took the oath just before Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave the 2024 budget speech in front of Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and other Members of Parliament.
He has taken the oath in place of Olukayode Doherty of the Labour Party, who was recently dismissed by the Court of Appeal.
In addition to extending him a warm welcome, Speaker Obasa asked the lawmaker to work with his colleagues and never forget people he serves.
In addition, Obasa commended the governor, the APC, and the Amuwo-Odofin people, stating that the ruling party now had 39 members in the House following the oath of office.
