The governor claimed that the President’s show of support for him following the Supreme Court ruling, despite their differing political ideologies, demonstrated that he is the father of the country.

Sen. Ademola Adeleke has asked his opponents, including his main rival, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, to work with him to advance the South-West state following the Supreme Court’s decision on Tuesday validating his election as the governor of Osun State.

There is no victor and no vanquished in the entire judicial drama, according to Adeleke, who appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today program.

With the legal battles concluded, he urged all Osun State residents to work together to advance the state.

“There is neither a winner nor a defeated. Anything they can do to advance Osun State is welcome; my hands are open for suggestions.

The appeal by Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging Adeleke’s election as governor of Osun State by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was dismissed earlier on Tuesday by the supreme court.

In a ruling read by Justice Emmanuel Agim, the supreme court affirmed the decision of the Appeal Court that Adeleke was duly elected as the state’s governor.

The appellant’s claim that there were excessive votes cast in the governorship election on July 16, 2022, was found to be unfounded by the supreme court.

The five members of the panel unanimously agreed to support and adopt the decision.

The appeal lacked merit, in the opinion of every panelist.

The governor thanked the people of Osun State for supporting him throughout the legal process and continued to do so in his statement following his victory. On July 16th, 2022, they flocked to the polls and chose me. I appreciate them because their love is genuine.

“The decision made by the Tribunal was an injustice. I am the legitimate winner, the Supreme Court confirmed today after the Appeal Court made improvements.

Adeleke congratulated the justices of the Supreme Court and claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s demonstration of support for his administration in the wake of the high court’s decision despite party differences shown that he is the nation’s father and president.

He claimed that although he is a “Dancing Senator,” his rivals may have underestimated him due to the fact that he outperformed them in the polls and in court up to the Supreme Court.

The state’s revenue has increased, particularly from mining and other areas, according to Adeleke, who also claimed to have demonstrated good administration to the residents of Osun throughout his tenure in office.

The governor claimed that while he is not using the Adeleke family’s money to finance Osun State, he has been successful in stopping leaks and raising government revenue.
