After speaking with her fiancé, a woman leaps into the Lagos lagoon.
On Thursday, an unnamed woman leaped into the lagoon in Lagos.
Around ten in the morning, the event happened near the Third Mainland Bridge.
Her late 30s were validated by the Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
According to a preliminary inquiry, the lady got out of an Uber taxi on the bridge and dove into the lagoon.
In a statement marking the start of the rescue mission, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, stated: “The taxi driver reported she was having a furious discussion with her fiance before alighting from the car.”
Oke-Osanyintolu said that personnel from the Department of State Services (DSS), the Fire Service, LASWA, and the Police were aiding LASEMA.
