Iran has expressed its condemnation of the missile strikes conducted by Pakistan on its territory near the shared border between the two countries.

In response to Tehran’s attack on Pakistani soil earlier in the week, Pakistan carried out these strikes. Both Iran and Pakistan have accused each other of harboring militant groups that launch attacks from regions along their border.

Pakistan’s foreign ministry stated that the purpose of the strikes was to ensure its own security and protect its national interests.

Tragically, the attacks resulted in the loss of lives, including three women, four men, and two children, as reported by Iranian state media.

Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan’s former representative to the United Nations, emphasized that the strikes were intended to send a message to Iran that violating Pakistan’s border would not be tolerated.

She also highlighted the confusion among Pakistanis due to the improved relations and joint military exercises between the two countries in recent years.
