The governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, talked about why he lost in front of the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Osogbo.
The tribunal overturned Adeleke’s victory in the July 16th, 2022, governorship elections on Friday.
However, the governor referred to it as a miscarriage of justice in a statement issued under his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.
The announcement said: “Senator Ademola Adeleke, the executive governor of Osun State, has called the governorship tribunal’s decision “a miscarriage of justice” and vowed to appeal the decision.”

Governor Adeleke called the decision in the over-voting controversy in favour of Mr. Oyetola from his rural home in Ede “an unfair interpretation against the desire of majority voters.”
Governor Adeleke said he would appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal. He insisted that he was still the rightful winner of the July 16 election and asked his supporters to stay calm.
“I urge everyone to maintain their composure. We will challenge the ruling, and we are confident that justice will be served. Let our people know that we will do everything possible to uphold this highly regarded mandate, said Governor Adeleke.
