After leaving Real Madrid, Benzema gets a deal with a new team
Karim Benzema has completed important paperwork in preparation for his summer transfer to Al-Ittihad.
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer specialist, reported this on Monday morning.
“Karim Benzema has signed the main portion of the paperwork to become new Al Ittihad player joining the Saudi league — here we go,” Romano tweeted.
The deal, which is good through 2025, also includes a season extension option.
“Karim will bid the Madrid supporters farewell before departing for Saudi.”
In his last game for Los Blancos, a 1-1 La Liga tie with Athletic Bilbao, Benzema scored.
The French striker, who spent 14 years at the Bernabeu, is leaving Spain.
