After Arsenal loses, Manchester City wins the Premier League for the third straight year
After championship contender Arsenal fell against Nottingham Forest, Manchester City won the Premier League for the third straight year.
After being defeated 1-0 on Saturday, the Gunners, who had been in first place for the bulk of the season, are now four points behind City with just one game remaining.
In five of the last six seasons, Pep Guardiola’s team has won the championship.
Due to the upcoming FA Cup and Champions League finals, they also have a chance to win the Triple Crown.
Only Manchester United, in 1998–1999, has previously accomplished that feat; City will face their derby rivals at Wembley on June 3 before taking on Inter Milan in Istanbul a week later, when they will attempt to win their first Champions League competition.
More will come.
