Ghana’s Black Princesses emerged victorious over Nigeria’s Falconets in the Under 20 women’s football final at the African Games.
The game concluded with a score of 2-1 in favor of Ghana after 120 minutes of play at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday evening.
Nigeria took the lead in the first half with a goal from Loveth Edeh. Tracy Twum then equalized for the host team in the second half, resulting in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes. Mukarama Abdullai scored a goal in the first half of extra time, giving Ghana a 2-1 advantage.
Despite Nigeria’s efforts in the second half of extra time, they were unable to level the score, leading to Ghana’s victory and securing the gold in the women’s football final event.
