On Thursday, Nigeria’s Super Eagles were unable to secure a victory against the Benin Republic in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier held in Abidjan.

In the first half, Benin Republic was in control of the game.
Victor Osimhen leveled the score for Nigeria in the second half.
As a result, Nigeria now leads Group D with 11 points from five matches.
Meanwhile, Benin holds the second position with 7 points from five games.
Rwanda and Libya occupy the third and fourth positions with 5 points and 4 points, respectively, as they approach the final group stage matches in the coming days.
Nigeria has already secured their spot in the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco.
