Alhassan Yusuf, who had an injury early in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, says he is feeling great again.
During Nigeria’s opening game against Equatorial Guinea’s Nzalang Nacional, Yusuf suffered a thigh injury.
Due to the loss, the Royal Antwerp player was unable to play in the Super Eagles’ final two group matches against Guinea-Bissau and Cote d’Ivoire.
On the other hand, the midfielder was benched for Nigeria’s Round of 16 match against Cameroon.
Following his training session on Monday at the Police College in Cocody, Abidjan, Yusuf declared, “I’m in good shape now, no discomfort or injury again.”
“The coach will determine when he wants me to play, but I’m prepared to play again. The most crucial factor is that the team is performing well.
Friday’s quarterfinal match between the Super Eagles and the Black Antelopes of Angola will take place at Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
