and Chidozie Awaziem at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which is now taking place in Ivory Coast.
Peseiro has brought 25 players, including the aforementioned individuals, to the 2023 AFCON.
Nigeria has faced Ivory Coast and Equatorial Guinea in two AFCON matches.
On Monday at 6 p.m., the Super Eagles will play Guinea-Bissau.
During his pre-match press conference prior to Guinea-Bissau’s encounter, Peseiro responded to a question regarding his AFCON players, saying, “Up until now, we have not played Uzoho, Ojo, Chidozie, Bruno Onyemaechi, Onyedika, Ahmed, Kelechi, and Moffi—eight players.”
“Even if the referee lets me, I’d like to put them all on the pitch, but he won’t let me put twenty-five on there. My players understand that our team, the Super Eagles, is the focal point of this.
“They should play, but I can only start eleven players and replace five.”
