In the current quarterfinal All African Cup of Nations (AFCON) game, the Super Eagles and the Angolan national team would trade tackles.
Valentine Ozigbo, Obi’s Special Advisor, announced Obi’s arrival in Abidjan via X.
“Have just landed in Côte d’Ivoire with HE @PeterObi to help our flying Super Eagles win in the AFCON 2023 Quarterfinals,” he posted. Lunch at the Sofitel Abidjan was rather enjoyable.
“Let’s get behind our team, knowing that their tenacity and cohesion on the pitch reflect our drive and nationalism.” We soar higher together.
Senator Ned Nwoko, Minister of Labour and Employment Simon Bako Lalong, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio are also in Ivory Coast.
Lalong posted on X, saying: “Today, I went to Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, with H.E. #SPNigeria Godswill Akpabio to support the Nigerian Super Eagles vs Angola in the quarterfinals. The country is one in its support of the Eagles, and I have no doubt that they will make us proud. Eagles, go!
