In the second group stage match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) between the two teams at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on Thursday, January 18, 2024, Super Eagles attacker Terem Moffi has picked Nigeria to defeat Côte d’Ivoire.
Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen was replaced by Moffi after he was added to Nigeria’s AFCON roster. Moffi expressed sympathy for Jeremie Boga, stating that his Ivory Coast will lose to the Super Eagles.
Moffi and Boga are OGC Nice colleagues, according to Obasanjo News24.
Moffi remarked on Ligue 1’s YouTube channel: “It will be extremely special since we play Cote d’Ivoire, Jeremie Boga, in the second round (group game).
