Tunisia suffered a surprising 1-0 loss to Namibia in their opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations in Korhogo. In the 88th minute, Deon Hotto scored the winning goal by heading in a cross from substitute Bethuel Muzeu.
This defeat puts Tunisia in a difficult position as they now face the challenge of advancing to the last 16, with upcoming matches against South Africa and Mali in the group stage.
On the other hand, this victory marks Namibia’s first-ever win in the tournament after ten attempts across four finals. Despite Tunisia’s supposed superiority, Namibia managed to secure the unlikely win with Hotto’s goal in the final minutes of normal time.
