In their last friendly before the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria’s Super Eagles were defeated 2-0 by the Syli Stars of Guinea.
The match was place behind closed doors at the Banis Yas Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

In the fourteenth minute, the Syli Stars seized the lead.
Four minutes later, Umar Sadiq was taken down inside the box by a hack, and the Super Eagles were given the penalty.
However, Moses Simon’s spot kick was saved by the Guinean goaltender, and he was unable to find the target.
Three minutes before the half-hour mark, Sadiq headed off target as Nigeria attempted to find an equaliser.
Three minutes prior to halftime, Samuel Chukwueze squandered yet another opportunity.
Guinea took a 64-minute lead and doubled it.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will host the Super Eagles for a sendforth supper on Tuesday night when they return to Lagos.
On Wednesday, Jose Peseiro’s team will go for Abidjan.
