Among the seven candidates for the championship, Kone, a member of the Elephants team that defeated the Super Eagles in the 2006 AFCON finals, selected Jose Peseiro’s team.
“At first look, I would guess Ivory Coast. Not because I’m Ivorian, that is. However, I say this because our team is talented,” the former Everton player stated to Sport Ivoire.
The Lions of Téranga, the current champions, and the Atlas Lions of Morocco, who excelled during the World Cup in Qatar, are the teams that follow Ivory Coast.
