AFCON 2023: Equatorial Guinea holds Nigeria’s Super Eagles to a draw

During the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea in Cote d’Ivoire, the Super Eagles were unable to secure a victory. The game concluded with a 1-1 draw at the Olympic Stadium.

Equatorial Guinea took the lead in the 36th minute with a goal from Ivan Salvador. However, Victor Osimhen quickly equalized for Nigeria with an impressive header just two minutes later.

Despite both teams’ efforts, neither side managed to score in the second half, resulting in each team earning one point. Nigeria’s upcoming match will be against the host nation on Thursday.
