When the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON, gets underway this weekend in Ivory Coast, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has encouraged Nigerians to “support” the squad.
Musa asserts that the only thing Jose Peseiro’s team needs from Nigerians to succeed at the AFCON is support.

Equatorial Guinea will be the Super Eagles’ first opponent on Sunday.
“Everyone is happy in camp, excited, just waiting for us to go to Abidjan for the start of the tournament,” Musa stated in an interview with NFF TV.
“The message I have for Nigerians is just believe in the team, that is all we need,” the former forward for Leicester City continued. We can accomplish great things if they help us.
In contrast, the Super Eagles’ most recent friendly matchup against Guinea ended in a 2-0 loss.
