Activist Deji Adeyanju criticizes President Tinubu for governing with what he describes as a military-style approach, urging a more democratic and inclusive leadership in Nigeria.
The administration of President Bola Tinubu has been accused by activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, of displaying military-like behavior.
While recounting how Tinubu and former President Muhammadu Buhari had led protests in the past, Adeyanju made a remark.
After the vanishing of investigative journalist and informant, Bristol Isaac Tamunobiefiri (also known as PIDOMNIGERIA), he made a remark.
PIDOM was found to have leaked sensitive documents from both federal and state governments before being apprehended.
However, the journalist working in disguise disappeared following a 10-day protest that he had also promoted on X using his handle.
Confirming the arrest of PIDOM, the Nigeria Police Force stated that he was apprehended in a hotel room located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Spokesman, PIDOM was arrested for committing grave crimes that compromise the credibility of governmental activities.
Nevertheless, the lawyer highlighted that PIDOM did not commit any offense to justify his vanishing.
On X, Adeyanju expressed that those who were apprehended during the protests did not engage in any unlawful activity. He further opined that it is unacceptable for a civilian government to act like a military regime and pointed out the need for respect of citizen’s rights by such governments. Additionally, he drew attention to Tinubu and Buhari who had once called for revolution while emphasizing on Pidom’s innocence.
“There was no wrongdoing committed by Pidom. Journalism should not be considered a criminal act. Instead of being cowardly, focus on apprehending bandits and terrorists.”
“Pidom is innocent and should not have been arrested. Journalistic activities shouldn’t be penalized. The government must stop punishing those who express their differences of opinion. We eagerly anticipate the dropping of all charges against him.”
