Governor Ademola Adeleke congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the Supreme Court’s confirmation of his election, stating that it is now imperative for Nigerians to come together.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and their respective presidential candidates from the previous election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi, had their petitions denied by the highest court on Thursday.

The two had attempted to reverse the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) proclamation and contested President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the poll held on February 25.

However, the Supreme Court rejected the appeal, ruling that fresh evidence could not be presented during the appeals process.
