Adamawa bride sets fire to husband’s newly built house
Twenty-year-old Amina Hassan, a bride from Adamawa State’s Mubi North Local Government Area, has been placed under arrest for reportedly setting her husband’s recently constructed home on fire.
Amina’s spouse reportedly refused to give her a divorce, which is what led to her actions.
It was said that the agreement was made before to the couple’s marriage.
Reportedly, Amina informed her parents that she was no longer interested in being married a few days prior to the nuptials.
But since the invitations had already been sent, they insisted that the wedding go ahead.
She enlisted the help of a local physician after the wedding to turn her spouse against her and get a divorce.

But instead of Amina’s heart being turned towards her husband, the rite ultimately caused it to turn the other way.
After being apprehended by the Adamawa State Police Command, the suspect admitted to the crime.
This newspaper claims that the incident is presently being investigated at the commissioner of police’s request, Afolabi Babatola.
Amina was quoted by Police Command spokesman SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje on Tuesday as saying, “We made an arrangement that he will divorce me after the marriage.” When we met, I begged him to get a divorce, but he refused.
