Yvonne Jegede, a renowned Nollywood actress, has revealed that her foster child Olamide Ajimuda passed away due to cholera in tragic circumstances.
Despite financial difficulties, Jegede has been supporting three foster children since 2019. On Instagram, she recently shared her feelings of both grief and gratitude.
Two of the children under her care, including Olamide’s sister, have recently graduated from secondary school as per her statement.

Jegede reminisced about her connection with Olamide, recalling that they first met when he was in fourth grade. At the time, he was preparing to move on to seventh grade after summer vacation.
Jegede stressed her trust in faith to cater for the children despite having few resources. She offered a sincere accolade to Olamide, expressing sadness and pondering on the gratification of caring for her foster kids.
“She wrote that the loss of Olamide to cholera had shattered her heart. She and Olamide had met when he was in primary four, and after the summer break, he was supposed to start JSS3. Despite not having unlimited resources at hand, achieving secondary school graduation for two of her kids including Olamide’s sister has completed her world.”
