Renowned Labour Party chieftain and activist, Ikenna Azomchine, criticized the organized labor for halting its nationwide strike.
The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) recently paralyzed the country’s economy due to the Federal Government’s failure to implement the proposed new national minimum wage.
Despite this, the organized labor decided to temporarily suspend the strike, with a warning to resume if an agreement is not reached within five days.
Azomchine, speaking on Arise TV, expressed disappointment that the strike was called off prematurely, emphasizing the need to continue until their demands are met to address the economic challenges facing the nation.
