The Acting CJN, while speaking to journalists after being sworn-in, shared her vision of elevating the judiciary and enhancing its reputation to instill greater confidence in people.
I am of the opinion that achieving a better judiciary cannot be accomplished by one individual alone. It requires collective effort, as we all acknowledge areas for improvement and can work together towards this goal. A more efficient judicial system is advantageous to the progress of our nation as a whole, therefore it’s in everyone’s interest to contribute towards its enhancement.
As members of society, we must acknowledge its shortcomings and take responsibility for improvement. It begins with each individual having faith in the system.
“Let’s focus on the specific procedures for making appointments and implementing discipline in the court system. I am confident that by the end of my time, we will have a judiciary that will make us all proud.”
