Bayo Onanuga, the spokesman for the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, talked about how the PDP nominee Atiku Abubakar’s convoy almost killed him.
Onanuga said that he almost died while driving with Atiku’s group in Abuja on the Shehu Shagari road on Sunday night.
He said that it happened around nine o’clock as he was driving home from seeing Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi.
According to Onanuga, the vehicle in Atiku’s convoy hit his car, smashed his side mirror, dented two doors in its route, and scraped another door.
He bemoaned the fact that the car simply turned around and joined the convoy without any regret.
“I had a close shave with death on Sunday night in Abuja when I was coming home at approximately 9 p.m. following a visit to Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi,” Onanuga said in a statement. When I saw a convoy coming out of one of the feeder roads, I was driving in the final lane on Shehu Shagari Way.
“My decision to slow down backfired when a Toyota SUV suddenly appeared on the same road from where the convoy had earlier emerged.” It drove directly to my car. I watched in horror as the motorist crashed into the passenger side of my Toyota Camry.
“The convoy went far into Asokoro and onto TY Danjuma Road before going into one of the homes.
“With the convoy, I entered the compound.” My journey was undoubtedly becoming more fascinating. I, a Tinubu and APC supporter, am in the Atiku-Okowa den.
