Musa Mohammed, a native and inhabitant of Gidan Damo village, has disclosed that the gunmen who terrorised the neighbourhood on Wednesday night abducted four women and four children while also killing four other people and wounded dozens of residents.
Mohammed claimed in a phone chat with DAILY POST that everyone rushed to flee to safety without knowing what would become of the next person, but it was later determined that seven people had been shot, of whom four had died instantly.
Nobody bothered to wait and watch what happened since the villagers were racing aimlessly into the bush for the protection of their lives, he said.
Mohammed claimed that the robbers were going from house to home picking out their victims, and that it was later discovered that four ladies and their four children had been paired up in the forest.
“On Wednesday night, shortly after seven o’clock, we had just finished Magrib prayers when we heard several gunshots as the terrorists broke into the neighbourhood.
Since ASP Yazeed Abdulahi, the State Police PPRO, was not returning calls, attempts to get his comments were futile.
