Following the Labour Party, LP’s presidential rally conducted in Edo State on Friday, party supporters have been asked to cast as many votes as possible for the party’s candidates in the next general elections, highlighting the fact that Obi’s presidency will advance Nigeria.
A member of the Labour Party’s presidential campaign, Moses Ogidi-Paul, issued a statement containing the call, which read in part: “Nigeria, is experiencing the best of times in its political history, which will clock a century next year with general elections held for the first time on September 20th 1923.
“Since the return of democracy in 1999, our country has been a theatre for political experimentation and adventure,” the LP chieftain continued. “This has culminated in a ruthless withdrawal of power from the people, thinning opportunities [and] concentration of wealth in a small circle leading to the precipitation of social vices as the majority of citizens are reduced to a primitive state of survival.”
He pointed out that the Labour Party gives Nigerians a breath of fresh air, noting that power has been consolidated in the hands of only two parties.
The ObiDatti Movement, on the other hand, started a hunt for Nigerians, and Nigerians have answered in the most incredible way. Nigerians have shown their love for their nation via marches, rallies, and town hall meetings,” he said.
He said: “This explains one thing, namely that Nigerians have been sleeping in a cocoon, waiting for a higher political theory to awaken them.
They discovered indifference there and accepted it, opening the way for others.
the method by which “cash-throwing” inept people might enter politics and contaminate it with violence, vote-buying, and other political fraud.
Today, however, it is Uhuru as the ObiDatti movement revives the ideals of our forefathers.
In Nigeria, he voiced optimism “that an ObiDatti presidency will bring permanent peace” and advancement.
