President Muhammadu Buhari is sure that the All Progressives Congress, or APC, will win by a large margin in the general elections of 2023.
The President also told the ruling APC and its candidates for the upcoming elections that he is always ready to campaign “with full enthusiasm and conviction” for the party’s nominee for president as well as candidates from all other parties.
Mallam Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, said this in a statement. It is meant to ease concerns that have been raised about the President’s lack of campaigning since the national launch in Jos, Plateau State, and to show that, even though he is still committed to party politics, the President’s functions and duties will be carried out on a regular basis.
During his recent trip to the United States, President Buhari told the Nigerian community in Washington, DC, that he is ready to campaign for the party’s success in next year’s general elections.
According to the statement, “The President highlighted that the APC efforts had been the most vigorous in recent memory up to this point.”
“They have been impressive and of a high voltage,” in contrast to the competition, which appears to be playing catch-up.
He “stated with tremendous confidence that the party will triumph in every election, fairly and without contest.”
