Adanma Luke, the producer of the movie Junior Pope was filming before the tragic incident that led to his death, has faced criticism in the aftermath of the accident.
The incident occurred when the boat carrying Junior Pope and three others capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while they were returning from the movie set of ‘The Other Side Of Life.’
Luke Adanma recently broke her silence and claimed that Junior Pope was offered a life jacket but refused to wear it because he deemed it to be dirty.
She mentioned in a video message shared on her Instagram account that the director and the Director of Photography (DOP) were both wearing life jackets, and there was an extra one available.

According to Luke Adanma, the producer manager informed her that they saw life jackets hanging and took them, offering one to Junior Pope. However, Junior Pope declined to wear it due to its condition.
Those who wore life jackets managed to survive the boat accident, while Junior Pope, who did not wear one, went missing during the mishap.
Witnesses reported that Junior Pope was seen in the water asking about the well-being of others and was even given a gallon to hold onto for support.
However, he disappeared from sight, and divers were unable to locate him.
The cause of the accident remains unknown, but there were reports of TC standing on the speed boat rigging bell during the incident.
