The Israeli prime minister has warned that Hamas will pay a price it has never known.
After the Palestinian armed group Hamas launched a significant surprise strike on Israel earlier on Saturday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel is at war in his first public remarks.
“Israeli citizens, we are at war. And we’ll triumph, added Netanyahu in a video message.
He promised, alluding to Hamas, “the enemy will pay a price like they have never known before.”
