Abuja expressway now officially named after Chinua Achebe by Tinubu
The M18 road in the Guzape sector of the federal capital territory has been dubbed the Chinua Achebe Motorway by President Bola Tinubu.
Olusegun Dada, the president’s special assistant on social media, stated that the president named the motorway after the late, well-known novelist on Saturday after it was put into service.
“In the Guzape District of Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commissions the M18 road infrastructure.” honours the late Professor Chinua Achebe, a Nigerian novelist and poet,” he wrote.
Remember that one of the founding figures of contemporary African literature was the Nigerian novelist, poet, and critic Achebe.
At the age of 83, he passed away in 2013.

The nation’s capital’s N20 arterial route, which connects the Northern Parkway to the Outer Northern Motorway (ONEX), was named after renowned dramatist Wole Soyinka by the president on Tuesday.
The FCT government advocated naming the route after Soyinka, according to Bayo Onanuga, Special Advisor to the President on Information and Strategy.
The first African to receive a Nobel Prize in literature is Soyinka.
Tinubu was honoured with the naming of Abuja’s southern parkway in May by FCT minister Nyesom Wike.
One of the main arteries in the city is the southern parkway, which runs from the National Christian Centre to Ring Road 1.
