The inaugural edition of the Premium Trust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon, organized by Nilayo Sports Management Limited, is all set to take place on Saturday, April 20th.
To ensure a smooth flow of the event and minimal disruption to the residents of the Federal Capital Territory, alternative routes and diversions have been put in place for a period of up to four hours.
The Federal Road Safety Corps has announced that traffic will be diverted from the start point at the Abuja City Gate to the service lane for bridge access.
This diversion will result in the blocking of Area 1, with vehicles from Berger redirected to Airport Road and those from Area 1 diverted to The Games Village.

Another diversion will be in place from Area 1 to Apo Junction, where all vehicles will be directed to the service lane.
Additionally, the diversion from Apo Junction to Asokoro Road Junction will lead to a complete road blockage for a duration of four hours.
The flow of vehicles along the Nyanyan to Kubwa Road will be allowed, while vehicles coming from Kubwa Road will face a four-hour blockage.
Similarly, vehicles from the Force Headquarters heading towards the Federal Secretariat will be diverted from the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Road.
The road connecting the Transcorp Hotel to the Federal Secretariat, as well as Constitution Road, will also be blocked for four hours to ensure a seamless Premium Trust Bank Abuja City Half Marathon.
The official Expo for the event commenced yesterday at the Jabbi Lake Resort in Abuja, facilitating the registration of runners, distribution of running bibs, and training of volunteers stationed along the marathon routes.
The Expo will also provide an opportunity for official sponsors to showcase their products and services, contributing to the overall success of the Premium Trust Bank Abuja City Half Marathon.
