The Chairman of the Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Stanley Okoro Emegha, has expressed his commitment to ensuring a dignified burial for the late Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu.
Emegha acknowledged Onu’s significant contributions to the party’s formation and growth, both at the state and federal levels.
He emphasized that Onu’s status as a founding member of the APC and his role in nurturing the party to victory in elections make his passing a great loss. Emegha extended his condolences to President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Working Committee of the APC, the state, and Onu’s family, assuring them that everything possible would be done to give the late minister a befitting burial.
He also highlighted that Onu’s legacy extends beyond the party, as he served as the first civilian governor of Abia State and as a minister, deserving the respect of the entire country.
