Abdullahi Sule of the APC has been declared the winner of the Nasarawa gubernatorial election by INEC

Gov. Abdullahi Sule, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been proclaimed the victor of the Nasarawa State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The announcement was made on Monday in Lafia at the Nasarawa State Collation Center by Prof. Ishaya Tanko, INEC’s State Collation Officer and Returning Officer.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate David Ombugadu, who received 283, 016 votes, was the APC candidate’s closest rival, according to the INEC returning officer, who reported that the APC candidate received a total of 347, 209 votes.

As a result, the returning officer announced that Abdullahi Sule of the APC, who had met the legal conditions and received the most votes, had won the election and been re-elected.
