On Tuesday, Benue South Senatorial District’s Senator Abba Moro was chosen as the Senate’s minority leader.
The opposition party in the red chamber nominated and confirmed Moro, a senator who served two terms as a senator under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
After the Appeal Court dismissed Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwon of the Plateau North Senatorial District, he was elected in his place.

The Minority Leader had previously been assigned to the North Central by the Senate. Despite being a new senator, Senator Mwadkwon was chosen by the minority caucus.
