Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro (PDP Benue South) has urged for an urgent halt to the continuous killings in various parts of the senatorial district by Fulani militia.
Expressing his dismay at the situation, Senator Moro appealed to both the federal and state governments to take immediate action to stop the barbaric acts, emphasizing that the affected people can no longer wait for the government’s assistance.
Reports from Obasanjonews.com revealed that Apa, Agatu, and Otukpo LGAs have been experiencing violent attacks by the marauding herders, resulting in significant loss of lives and property.
The situation has escalated to a point where the victims are left with no choice but to consider taking matters into their own hands if help does not arrive promptly.

In a statement released on Friday by his Media Adviser, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun John, the Minority leader highlighted that the affected individuals have been pushed to their limits and may resort to self-defense if immediate assistance is not provided.
He strongly condemned the recent killings in the region, particularly the tragic incidents in Ogbaulu community, Agatu LGA, where innocent villagers were brutally murdered on their farms.
Senator Moro emphasized that the unprovoked attacks resulting in the senseless killing of five unarmed villagers were intolerable. He called upon law enforcement agencies to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators of these heinous crimes and ensure that they face justice for their actions.
