Seven teenagers were taken into custody by police in Adamawa State on suspicion of raping a girl.
Ephraim Emmanuel, age 17, Madapwa Fidelis, age 17, Paka Albert, age 16, Jude Shido Aventi, age 18, Harmony Manade, age 18, Napwanwa Nahim Edmanth, age 16, and Manbiah Ojes, age 16, are among the suspects (16).
In the Demsa Local Government Area, they are all inhabitants of Kodomun Village.
According to a news release from the police in Adamawa State, SP Suleiman Nguroje, “the suspects on 4/3/2023, at 2100hrs, enticed their victim into the house of the first suspect and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.”
In the announcement, it was said that a significant policing stakeholder had reported the occurrence to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Demsa.
According to Nguroje, a preliminary investigation showed that the suspects exploited the victim after she accepted the invitation from the first suspect, with whom she was friends, and they were not the only ones to do so.
Sadly, the police official stated that she was restrained and coerced into giving sexual consent to each of the seven offenders.
The accused would then be charged in court, he added, after additional investigations were completed.
