Three additional people are in serious condition after being injured in a deadly collision between a Dangote truck and a towing van owned by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
On the Kugbo-Nyanya Motorway, close to the Karu Bridge, the accident happened on Friday at three in the morning.
The tragedy was caused by a mechanical malfunction, according to Walter Amechi, the VIO Area Commander in Kugbo.
He stated that the FRSC vehicle was pulling a Dangote cement truck (which had previously experienced a failing brake) to the VIO office in Kugbo.
According to him, the Dangote truck’s driver, his conductor, and one other passenger suffered injuries, while the towing van’s driver was discovered dead and stuck inside the vehicle.
