A two-week bail has been granted to former Commander of Force Intelligence Response Team, DCP, Abba Kyari by an Abuja Federal High Court.
This decision was made to enable Kyari to go back home and complete the burial ceremonies for his mother.
The court has scheduled Friday, May 31 as the date for the final decision on his bail request.

Kyari is currently undergoing trial for drug-related offenses that were brought against him by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
Following his arrest on February 14, 2022, by the NDLEA, the former IRT boss has been involved in legal proceedings related to the charges.
