Ric Hassani recently discussed the decline in quality of trending Afrobeats songs, expressing his belief that the music has significantly dropped in quality over the years.

During an appearance on the Channels TV programme, Rubbin’ Minds with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Hassani highlighted how the current hit songs lack the same level of excellence as those from previous years.

He attributed this decline to the increasing popularity of Afrobeats, which has led to more people wanting to enter the industry.

Hassani emphasized that in the past, hit songs were more serious and of higher quality, but now it seems that anyone can enter the industry and release music without much consideration for its quality.
