Twenty-nine individuals suspected to be affiliated with the Yoruba Nation movement were brought before the Ibadan Chief Magistrate Court on Wednesday in connection with the attempted invasion of the Oyo State Government Secretariat on April 13th.
The suspects faced a total of seven charges, including treasonable felony, membership in an unlawful society, illegal possession of firearms, carrying weapons, and behavior likely to incite a breach of peace.

Inspector Bakare Rasaq, who serves with the State Criminal Investigation Department in Iyaganku, Ibadan, provided testimony outlining the charges against the accused individuals, citing violations of Section 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap 38, Vol.II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.
The case, identified by charge number Mi/520c/2024, is being prosecuted by the Commissioner of Police against the 29 suspects, with further details expected to be revealed in the near future.
